This project was a lot of fun—a 100-bottle wine rack made entirely from Cherry. What makes this piece stand out is that it’s built using only joinery, with no fasteners involved. The bottle holders are secured with rabbit joints, which not only locate them perfectly but also support the weight of the bottles. A little glue is all it takes to hold everything in place.
The design is flexible and expandable—each column of supports is repeated until the desired width is achieved, and two end caps provide a clean, finished look. This simple yet sophisticated design is both functional and built to last a lifetime. If you’re thinking about a project, remember that simple, functional designs often stand the test of time.
